Communication is the key to any type of relationship in society. People are forced to display some sort of communication in their every day activities. There are many different types of communication and it has developed substantially over time. Communication is something I try to keep one of the most important aspects of my life. I am constantly attempting to find ways to improve this action with family members along with other relationships. There is a constant need for improvement because of the many different relationships I have. For example, the patterns with my parents are different then with my friends. Before I left for college, I spoke with my parents but did not always communicate effectively because our schedules were always different. I participated in three sports and did not get home until late. When I did get home, I would be short and less verbal because I would be tired. With my friends, I would see them at school and communicate more often. The way I spoke also changed with my friends. I did not always say the best words while with my friends, but I made sure I did not speak that way to my …show more content…
The evolution of the computer has brought along many changes. People can now reach someone from another end of the country by simply calling or texting them from a cell phone. This has impacted my way of communicating because it has caused me to at times be glued to a phone. I have not been open to my parents and others because phones and technology have consumed my time. Although I try my best to communicate well with my family, my phone is a distraction. With that being said, these technological advances have brought positive impacts. From college, I can text my parents and speak with them instantly. It is a good way of keeping a good relationship and staying informed with
