The Importance Of Pharmacist

When it comes to believing in sayings, I consider myself as a skeptical person. But, I must admit, I plenty agree with what people say about finding the right career: "Sometimes, you don’t choose a profession, it chooses you" ("Walk Through Time"). That’s how I ended studying a pharmacy degree. Rather than saying it was a well-elaborated decision, I would say I felt genuine fascinated the first day I walked to the drop-off window of my nearest CVS pharmacy. People will always ask me why I have so well defined to be a pharmacist or why would I choose a pharmacy profession over many others options. That would be the easiest question I’d find in my PCAT exam! It is well-known that society-pharmacist-patient relationship is based on integrity. Surveys suggest that 86% of the time, pharmacist are required to make decisions that affect others people, their financial resources and the image of the organization (“Summary Report for”). The immense personal and professional responsibility for others (individuals and institutions) that pharmacist possess are sustained on standards of honesty and ethics. This job has an impeccable reputation of thousands of years old, avoiding discriminatory practices, practicing cultural sensitivity, maintaining professional competence, caring about people and balancing community needs. Pharmacist spends eight years studying subjects like Chemistry, Calculus, and Biology to get the degree required to do their job. It is not just counting pills; a former pharmacist must have training in drugs interactions, application of medications and diseases knowledge. Pharmacist must accurate measure the exact dosage of the medicine and properly packaged it, actions that day-to-day affect directly patients '
