Internships have been a great way of getting connected with a job a person might apply for in the future. Internships can also save ones time by experimenting in different career fields and gain a lot of experience from working there. According to a natural survey by vault up to 84% of students planned to complete at least one internship before graduating and some will require to do internships to receive college credit. There is a lot of debate on if internships should pay students or not pay students. Students who have to receive loans from their schools must borrow even more money because of their unpaid internships they will be even more in debt. First off, since students have to pay a lot of money from tuition the student cannot waste any more time other than school because it is their main priority and it costs money. Unpaid interns will only make it difficult for students because they are working for free. All the long hours of working on your feet might not be good, but internships do teach you a few things about what they are supposed to do while working. According to Anya Kamenetz essay she said “unpaid internships are not jobs, only simulations.” Most people will agree with this because an internship they will learn about that they would do if they were really in that job so it’s like stimulation the job to see if they can maybe handle it. There are other examples of the uselessness of unpaid internships such as Bill Watson, a Colgate university student from Augusta. “It definitely hurt of confidence,”(ROSS PERLIN – UNPAID interns, complicit, colleges) he went on saying that he was constantly short on cash and was fearing he would have to quit the internship and go …show more content…
Unpaid internships are only great for students are is financially well set because they won’t have to worry about paying their bills and they will obviously sacrifice less time than less privileged students. If internships started to buy pay students most of its problems of unpaid internships will be resolved because it will most definitely help students with the lower income because they wouldn’t have to pay as much debt and if they were in an unpaid internship their debts will increase more. Companies should be encouraged and care more about their interns because a happy intern will most likely do a great job because they are doing what they might possibly do in the future and at the same time they will get a great learning experience. John Stossel is incorrect about how some of his interns said it was one of the best learning experience they have ever had because people can just use one good review to back up a statement. John Stossel should have used multiple people that have already interned for him and bring up their opinion. Maybe some of the interns didn’t have a pleasant learning experience while some of the might have awesome learning

This can be a huge issue because not all students grasp the concept that they will have to pay all the money they were loaned back in the future when they are starting their lives in their chosen career. Student loans can be a blessing and a curse they can help students get through school without having to pay much right away , but the curse is that you have to end up paying back what was borrowed plus interest and at that point students are questioning their education. We also find some evidence that debt affects students ' academic decisions during college” (Rothstein, 2011). Though student loans do have their negatives because they aren 't free money and it has to be paid back.…

Right now, private and public colleges require a lot of money to come to their schools, and the more popular the name of the school, the more money they charge students. The students suffered to collect this money by asking their families, saving, borrowing money and working to pay these funds that are not necessary. They make the student the victim and only the school very rich. The schools should become less greedy and go back to caring about the student and helping them to be a success.…

This is due to the fact that they are well-prepared when searching for jobs. In addition, the lower the rate of unemployment that we possess; the more functioning our society will be (Gale 41).…

He does not agree with “free tuition” because the government would be paying for it. Lane states that many parents agreed with the fact of giving students free tuition, but they doubt that it would work for the better. Economist William Baumol has famously argued that college-level instruction inherently requires large inputs of highly skilled labor, making it relatively resistant to automation and hence to productivity increases (Lane).
