I am writing to you today to inform you about my experience at the Sothern New Hampshire University Internship Fair held on campus on Wednesday February 17th, 2016. I intend to talk about my overall experience, what I noticed/ learned while there, as well as how the Internship Fair helped to further develop my articulation of the SNHU Business Competency, Professional Communication as well as my overall professionalism in a competitive business environment. First off, I wanted to inform you that I chose this experience due to the fact that I personally felt as though it would better enhance my articulation of the school of business outcomes, as well as further to enhance my professionalism in a competitive business environment more so than just having a meeting with a Career Development Center staff member. Prior to this event you asked that I attend, interact and then report back to you my overall experience. I attended the event, dressed professionally, with ten copies …show more content…
My conversations with these organizations were very productive and more professional than any communication than I had had prior. This was a great learning point for me and it helped to better my professional development as well as the business competency in several ways. I was able to develop my verbal communications in a professional setting, as well as my ability to approach other business professionals from a networking standpoint. I was able to successfully develop myself in these areas, which prior to the event were aspects in which I felt needed improvement. I felt more confident in my abilities when leaving the event, than I did when I entered, and because of that I feel that my time there was productive as well as

From an interview that didn’t go too well, to an interview that helped me grow, my customer service professional informational interview took place at a Company that didn’t hire me a year prior. I was given the opportunity to talk to, as well as learn from, Nate Martinson, a sales coach at Capital One, here in Saint Cloud. I was referred to Nate from Becky Shand, my Strategic Customer Service instructor. Nate was one of her past students. Capital One hadn’t initially crossed my mind as a first choice for this assignment, which is why I’m glad I was able to learn more about the company.…

This report requested by Michele Bartosek pertains to the Alpha Kappa Psi Career Fair, hosted at Central Michigan University (CMU). While attending my first CMU career fair, I was not actively seeking an internship, but rather gaining experience and building my network. When I walked into Finch Fieldhouse, I did not expect there to be 143 tables worth of future employers, all squeezed into one gym. Although the Alpha Kappa Psi career fair was extremely overwhelming and stressful, it was beneficial to go as a freshman to understand what I can improve on at the next career fair. I understand the importance of many potential employers attending this event at this venue to maximize the opportunity for the students, however having so many people…

Going into this year’s internship at PCL I was expecting to have a good and fun internship with having interned the year before. When I found out I was going to be working at Alameda Station Village got me a little more excited, having driven by that job multiple times before and wondered how it was going. Instead of just being able to find out how the job was going I got the privilege of working and helping improve and finish the job. Working with Rahn Coonts, Casey Callanan, Steve Covach, and Corey Dahl was a great experience, and having Rahn and Casey as my mentors was even better. I can say I have learned a great deal this summer,…
