As I think back to feelings I underwent in beginning the semester. I can begin by saying that I felt so nervous and insecure when just thinking about starting the fall semester. On several occasions, before beginning my field placement, I even felt incompetent and insecure about not being able to apply the skills learned in school when doing my internship. As for the past weeks I have been worry that I am falling behind on my field hours and that I will not be able to make up the missing hours as many students have started their internship already. Since day one my field instructor has been supportive and encouraging. As a student eager to get out of the classroom and experience working in the mental health field, as well as interact with those suffering from mental illness, an internship was the logical next step to gain this type of knowledge. My internship was with Crawford County Human Services, specifically spending my time with the Blended Case Managers (BCM), and for a small amount of my internship, the Family Case Managers (FCM). During my internship experience, I learned a lot of things that I thought I knew but are misconstrued on. With that being said, I know everything must be done in decent order or this will cause chaos and lead to confusion. I also learned everything takes patience and is very time- consuming. I became frustrated, so many times and just wanted to give up, but I had to remind myself that hard times are going to come and everything is going to work out. Many times I sat on my bed crying because it seems like everything piled on me at one time.…
