I was twelve and my mother needed medical care. He was respected and honored for his service to the community. It was probably my first clear memory of being in a hospital and understanding how medicine made a difference to the lives of people you loved and cared for. After completing an Internal Medicine residency, I want to obtain further training. The field of training I am further interested in will probably become clearer as I train in Internal Medicine and get exposed to the different specialty rotations. I see myself being an internist who will advocate for the underestimated and undervalued power of preventive medicine as well as someone who will enunciating on furthering the practice the evidence based medicine.
