Social media has been considered by many to be the Doctor Jekyll And Mr. Hyde of the twenty first century. Back in 1960’s , social media was the rave. When social media was created, email was created, yet several years later, newsletters became popular which allowed people to communicate. As a result, regulations have been promoted to curb the main problems that have arisen. Many haven't agreed with the new rules and regulations because more rules mean less freedoms under the constitution. With this in mind, internet does not have many regulations as it should considering the facts, realities and dangers of international terrorism, sexual predators, and the dangers associated with social media.
Social media not having enough regulations are causing so many problems in this US. International terrorist groups are now spreading around the US such as ISIS. Social media has been used to catch people's eyes and to entice them to want to find out more about what the organization is about and how to join the groups. With this in mind, last year three British girls wanted to join ISIS as a result of the persuasion of the videos that they watched on the internet. A recent video that ISIS had posted had caught the British girl's' attention in which the posting advertised that they would live a finer life if they joined. This is affecting those who use social media daily. These are problems because people are unaware of the facts and are blind to everything but what they want to see and know. It is a problem for those who use media to chat with someone, have businesses online, and just daily users. These people will suffer if these solutions are not solved because it will cause more terrorism, more sexual predators will get away, and more danger will occur than it already does.
