For Better; For Worse

If you manipulate any person either by the use of charms, hypnotism or by human knowledge with enticing words, the resultant effect would be evil. Such evil could be likened to a double-edged sword. When a man because of the money he has, charms a woman, if by stroke of ill luck or by natural phenomenon, the money vanishes away then the woman will equally suffer. If a man was attracted by external beauty of make-up with paints, by an ugly and old woman; when he discovered he was deceived; the woman will suffer while the man regrets. As you make your bed; so you lie

Ecclesiastic 4:11.
Therefore, Sarah laughed within herself, saying after that I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also. – Genesis 18:12.
Here Sarah talked of the pleasure that result from sexual intercourse and the joy that is experienced in taking care of one’s offspring. She talked of the joy of being able to reproduce young ones. This kind of joy is unimaginable and unspeakable.
But she who lives in pleasure is dead while she lives – 1Timothy 5:6. In this phrase; Paul refers to the pleasure of having sexual relationships with man by a woman, as evil, when done out of wedlock. Also this talks of the joy of lesbianism; and the pleasures derived from masturbations or having intercourse with same kind or with animals is death while living.

Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. – 1Corrinthians 7:1-2

4. For Power
Power is the ability to do work or to engage in any activity that requires the usage of energy.
Two are better than one… for if they fall, one will lift up his companion. Woe unto him that is alone, for when he falls has no one to help him up…. Though another may overpower one, two can withstand him. And a three-fold cord is not quickly broken. – Ecclesiastics 4:9-12.
When a marriage is fruitful, it becomes a three-fold cord that will be hard to disengage. If the couples truly have the fear of God in their hearts they would love the children or the fruits of their union. This love will always cause them to want to remain together and by all means fight against any act of separations or divorcement. Some marriages may not be biologically fruitful, because God wants it so. It may be that He wants the couples to be militants for His kingdom. With few or no children the couples would have enough times for prayers and evangelism. Therefore; when a husband and a wife join hands together in agreement with the Holy Spirit, to pray, no demon can withstand them and no godly venture will fail

“Sacred Search” Allana Dorsett FACS 205-001 Liberty University Sacred Search Summary Gary Thomas’ book “Sacred Search” explains that a person should consider the reasons for wanting to get married more so than who they marry. He elaborates on why men and women choose to marry, as well as the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of both in a marriage relationship. One of the great feats of Thomas’s book is that he details a biblical argument to destroy the notion that there is one potential spouse for each person. He explains that yes, God does sometimes lead some to people to each other, but a majority of people have absolute free will to decide who they will marry.…

The laws pertaining to marriage in the legal codes distributed throughout the Old Testament are few and scattered. Most of these laws address issues such as: anathemas pertaining to who to marry, how to determine virginity, the dissolution of marriage, remarriage, childlessness, widowhood, etc. This is unlike the ancient near Eastern codes which tend to discuss matters of legal interest in an orderly manner; thus, the laws of marriage, for most part, are successively arranged in blocks like Hammurabi’s Code or the Middle Assyrian Laws. Although, as we have seen, the Old Testament law contained no prescription for marriage, nevertheless, marriage is of great importance. Both in primeval history and the history of the patriarchs, the history of tribes and peoples is narrated as family histories.…
