It helps people to know about their relatives living in other parts of the country. Hence, relaxes their unnecessary tensions. In 2011, when civil riots were in action in London, the British government did not shut down internet but decided to search for alternate methods to control criminals, misusing the networks(Amrogi,2011,para 3). The foreign minister William Hague tweeted, “No I don 't think we should censor #Facebook and social media." He said he supported the "freedom of expression on the internet, just not crime (ANI, 2011)". On the other hand, in India, when there were conflicts between Bodo community and Muslims over land, jobs and politics. The rumors and hate messages about this event spread to Bangalore and other cities in southern part of the country. The Muslim started attacking north eastern people. North eastern people became so afraid that they started travelling to their home. The Indian railways have to arrange special trains for their convenience.
