Overview and Definition
The definition of censorship according to oxford dictionary is “The suppression or prohibition of any parts of books, films, news, etc. that are considered obscene, politically unacceptable, or a threat to security” (Oxford dictionary).
Internet censorship is the suppression of data that can be accessed, viewed or published on the Internet. Censorship is done by government, private organizations. One major concern of United states citizens who are on either side of the issue enforcing the laws without threading on the freedom of speech. There is a huge distrust in the federal government about violation of civil rights.
