The Internet has broken down communication barriers between cultures in a way that could only be dreamed of in earlier generations (“Effects of the Internet and Globalization”).” Even though it is still in its infancy, we already take the marvel of world wide intercommunication for granted. It wasn 't so long ago that people had to wait months to send and receive a messages from other parts of the United States, let alone other parts of the world. We are, in a way, more unified than ever before, because of our newfound ability to talk to people from anywhere, at any time. "Globalization was originally proposed as a way for developed countries to seek additional growth opportunities abroad, after it became difficult to achieve economic growth domestically”(“Next”). Currently , globalization takes that sentiment and multiplies it to the extreme.
