I didn’t have any vision or specific goal before I came here but getting AA degree to transfer to 4 years university. Since I spent more than a year in US I’ve seen a lot of people who are international students and there’s a several reasons why they decided to study abroad in foreign country. It was a totally new experience that I’ve never had before. I’ve never studied in foreign country. All I ever been to foreign country was Guam Island for family travel when I was a 6th grader. But I was just happy and full of expectation of my new experience. I knew about some problems that I gonna have like language barrier or racism but I didn’t concern much and accepted the new chance

I had a bunch of free time that I can use it with my own. I hung out with my friend, doing my hobby that I wasn’t able to do, involve in soccer club in school and do some school works that weren’t take too much. Of course it wasn’t always easy. As I knew I had to overcome the language barrier, bear the loneliness from being by myself in foreign country and adjusting in school. But it was definitely easier than the life that I had in Korea so those wasn’t a big issue. From the hard moments I learned a lot of things such as relationship, cultural difference, and better English
