1. Introduction

ISO is known as the International Organisation for Standardisation and it is a self-governed organisation which is based on publishing standards in a number of industries. The organisation consists of 164 member countries and the primary role of these standards is to ensure that products and services are able to meet high quality and safety criteria for customers.
Originally, ISO began in 1926 as the International Federation of the National Standardizing Associations (Wikipedia, 2012), which was formerly renamed to ISO after the conclusion of World War Two. From that moment on, more than 19,000 standards have been published by the ISO.

3. Requirements of ISO9001:2000

As stated before, ISO 9001 is a quality management system standard that would require a company or an organisation specific requirements for its business which includes meeting customer demands and satisfaction. During the revision/development of the standard, the ISO hierarchy were able to come up with a model that will portray the exact necessities of a quality management system. As a result of these thoughts, this gave way to a brand new setup for the ISO9001 standard which categorises the organisation 's activities into five different sections:
1) Quality Management Systems
2) Management Responsibility
3) Product Realisation
4) Resource management
5) Measurement, Analysis and
