Institutional racism, can be described as a discriminatory treatment, unfair policies and practices, inequitable opportunities and impacts based on race. In the movie you can see that the help lived in rough towns and homes and they had to take the bus back to their communities since they couldn’t afford to own cars. They were paid minimum wages without any social security or any paid vacation.
Jones analysis of a gardener’s tale is very helpful in understanding racism and how there is a simple fix on helping to reduce racism.
