I am going to have him on a electronic monitoring device. It will not be like house arrest because it would not reflect his situation. the Electronic monitoring has been shown to significantly reduce risk that offenders supervised in the community commit new offenses or technical violations, or abscond from supervision. (2010, OPPAGA) The electronic monitor would have a built in microphone so John’s conversation would be recorded in comparison to tracking his every move. John has history of drug abuse so having him tracked, recorded, doing community service is not going to stop him from doing drugs.
