Intermediate Composition Class Analysis

In the Spring of 2017, I registered for an Intermediate Composition class. During registration, I noticed my class met in the UNG Library Technology Center. I thought to myself why would an English class meet in the Technology Center. Little did I know, my professor centered most of our writing assignments and classroom discussion using technology. On the first day of class, my professor instructed the class to sign on to a computer. Then, he required the class to set up a BlogSpot and a Twitter account. The thought of setting up these social media accounts gave me anxiety. I was nervous. I was hesitant. I was stressed. Unfortunately, I struggled with setting everything up, but I managed to do it. I felt very intimidated using technology and social media. However, my classmate, who are twenty years younger than I, knew exactly what to do. They seemed very comfortable with these forms of communication and technology, but I wasn’t. …show more content…
After a few weeks into the class, I became more comfortable with posting on my blog post, sending and receiving” tweets,” and commenting on my classmates on social media BlogSpot and Twitter accounts. I now realize that language is more than an essay and social media is a platform for a writer to address an audience, deliver a timely message with a specific purpose, and create a response from their readers.
