Prior studies have shown that intergenerational programs (IGP) between the older and younger generations have positive effects, such as enhance socialization, emotional support, well-being and quality of life, on the older population.1,2,3 More IGPs are implemented in the community setting compare to the institutional care settings. Thus, the purpose of this study is to provide evidence of the effectiveness of the intergenerational program for older adult residents with dementia in an assisted living facility (ALF).
