Interest Groups

Truth plays a clear and also abstract role in our world. The way each of us views the world fluctuates from person to person. In any society there are separate, overlapping interest groups which have truths which are relative to those groups. In government and politics, we have to find an objective measure of truth in order to determine what is best for society as a whole. While this process is harder to execute than to describe, it is nonetheless essential for governing bodies to adhere to it in some form or fashion. In a population there consists of a government, the society, and interest groups. The government acquires its right to power by the society and is thus consisted of by members of the society. The society includes constituents and the population ruled by the governing body. The interest groups are clusters of one or more individuals that reside within the society and can, but not always, also be members of government. While not all interest groups are accounted for, the more represented and more proactive interest groups are usually heard and are represented in the government itself. The governing body is obliged to respond to the interests of the society. In addition to adhering to special interests, they can only work within their means. Society only gives them so much time, money, people, and other resources to fulfill society’s interests. Once government has weighed the variables and relative truths, they reveal an objective truth in the form of an action or legislative action. Objective Truths would be truth that are weighed and create fuller perspectives for purposes of reliable government. While this truth may be contrary to any or one interest group, governing bodies must find suitable solutions to all of society rather individual
