Academics is part of what shapes someone’s life, and therefore has to have an effect. If people just imagined how it could benefit someone from another country. The effect can be on someone physically, mentally, spiritually, and even socially. As learning makes the human smarter, it grows them stronger. Once again, Angela Sun makes a great point about the benefits of the American education when she states, “Focusing on the strengths of American education and making them stronger will make an American education the more attractive option, every time” (Sun). The way people mature as they grow leads to making big decisions. Whether they are choosing which college to go to, or choosing which country to adopt from. Adopting a child fulfills the need to adopt that child, and occasionally creates a trend for other people to follow. The author of these journals presents this information ever so well, “It brings unwanted and needy children to caring parents. It also fulfils the need of childless couples to accomplish the important stage of parenthood in their life. And adoption relieves the burden of communities to care for abandoned children. Nourished with attention and buffered against racism, children flourish in most circumstances, including transcultural or transracial adoptive homes” (Failinger p.529). There are so many benefits that come from intercountry adoption just noted in this quote. An adoptive parent can benefit from adopting overseas almost as much as the abandoned child. There is a slight relief thinking about how just one adopted child can be completely changed, and can make the world a better place. When taking in an orphan, the way that the world affects them can be far greater than anyone has thought, “When a good family adopts a child, he receives the love and support necessary to have a good childhood. He may get to experience new siblings in this new family and build bonds that last a lifetime” (Applegate).
