A vision, for example, is expected to be shared by countries that are contributing to one another’s success in the global environment. Stanley Milgram, however, recognizes that most people are willing to hurt their fellow man rather than disobeying authority. In “The Perils of Obedience,” there is a new look at the idea of power and decision-making in the global environment, and its smaller role in society.
It has been established that the decision-makers in the global environment are present in the Western world. Thus, when recognizing the idea of globalization, all of these smaller countries in the Third World or otherwise are now scrambling to find their voices. The problem, at least for them, is that they do not collaborate (Gills). Rather, they separate, feuding with one another as the West continues to dominate the global decisions. Human connectedness, at this level, would suggest that these countries would come together and have a collective voice, rather than
