Interbrew will continue to strive in its current market, thus the need to develop a global brand is not necessary at this moment. A swot analysis on Interbrew, compared to the pros and cons, regarding developing a global brand or continuing within our market, provides clear evidence of why interbrew future is stronger within their market. According to the Swot analysis, interbrew strengths are in the strong brand, and rapid growth with the acquisition and JV. While also showing a motivated workforce and improved skills, concluding with a high profit margin, as seen from their increase in sales from 1992-1999 of 97%. On the contrary to the sales increase, interbrew show inconsistent sales and marketing, a complex corporate structure and has not achieved their expected P/E leverage. While interbrew has an immense of opportunity seeming that the world beer market is growing, the industry rationalization as well as global media.
