There’s a good chance that she should not be telling her friends information about what Company A is doing. Then, Sara and Tom were having lunch together when the incident happened. Sara really wanted to know about the new product and developments going on so she began to flirt with Tom. She began to get closer to Tom as he told her about a new product that was going to be announced in month. Later on that night Sara went out with her friends and told them about the new product that was going to be announced in a month. Then, the next week Company C announced a new product very similar to Company A’s new product. I believe that Sara was giving trade secrets to a third party. I believe that her friends are the third party and they more than likely work for Company C. As a result, Sara was revealing trade secrets to a competitor. Sara had no right to reveal any information about the new product and developments happening at Company A. In addition, if her friends didn’t work for Company C, then there would be no reason why Sara was so determined and persistent in getting information about the new product and developments
