Learning is taking in information and being able to use it in a workplace, home, or any area where this knowledge may be needed. Intentional learning is being able to use your learning patterns in a way that you will be able to take on any learning task and complete it efficiently. The difference between learning and intentional learning is being able to direct the way to take in knowledge and how it is conveyed into the real world. My view on learning has changed tremendously, learning that I can control how I learn to make it easier to take in knowledge is a great help for my future classes.

I enjoyed the readings because I learned different methods of learning and comprehending new materials. The assignments applied to the readings and allowed my new knowledge to stick in a way that I will remember for my future semesters to come. I would most likely only change some of the writing assignments, reason being is because I feel like several of the writing assignments were very similar. This made me repeat myself several times in assignments and I was not sure if I was the only one. My expectations for online classes were simple, reading and writing. The feedback from the instructor was very helpful, letting me know that I am on the right track with my writing assignments and

The strongest person in the world might be able to tackle any physical obstacle, but mental stress can be much more difficult. The nuance with mental stress is that different environments affect people in different ways, and in different magnitudes. Cathy Davidson’s “Project Classroom Makeover”, Susan Faludi’s “The Naked Citadel”, and Malcolm Gladwell’s “The Power of Context”, all describe scenarios with environments that are either stressful and negative, or relaxed and positive. An individual’s identity is minimally impacted in positive environments and drastically affected in negative environments.…

Learning can be interpreted in many ways to different individuals, although to me learning is about gaining knowledge and embracing every experience encountered and linking it to any task. Also I would explain that being open minded is a strong attribute to apply during the learning process. During my week one I stated that learning is to open and broaden an individual’s mind on subjects to gain knowledge or skills, and I’ve grown to realize its more than that. People can learn using different methods and be more responsive to one rather than the other. I am a Strong-Willed learner.…

A Learning theory is a framework describing how information is processed and absorbed by our minds. Behavioural, personal and environmental factors, as well as previous experiences, all play a part in our understanding.
