a) Using what I have learned regarding the Intent-Action-Effect model, I should not have assumed that, since Jen is not attending university in the field of healthcare, she does is not knowledgeable in this field at all. I should have let her finish her part of the project and kindly explain how she could have changed some areas in order for us to attain a higher mark. I would have to make sure that I am not criticizing her entire part but rather acknowledging what parts are correct and what may be altered. This will ensure that my positive intent will result in a positive effect on Jen.
b) If I were to approach Jen differently than before, I would say “We should work on the entire project together, and if we have any concerns with each others’ work, we can correct each other as we go along. This is to ensure that we make minimal mistakes and get the highest mark possible”.
