Similar traits, bone structures, and chromosomes are some of the most known pieces of evidence to support the theory of evolution. The main evidence that intelligent design can provide is how the bacterial flagellum is ordered perfectly to be able to function. Supporters of intelligent design say that the structure is so perfectly made that it cannot be evolved and it is designed. It has been said that, in the case of the bacterial flagellum, there are similar structures that could have led the the evolution to the bacterial flagellum. Bacteria in the bubonic plague has been found to resemble to bacterial flagellum. The bacteria is shaped like a syringe and appears to be the like bacterial flagellum without a few parts and the ability to move around. Subset proteins from the bacterial flagellum have been found in the bacteria for the bubonic plague. These aspects help support the theory of evolution more rather than intelligent design. Without evidence and support a theory cannot truly be a scientific …show more content…
Without science there cannot be a scientific theory, a scientific theory has to involve science and experimentation. Based on this logic, intelligent design cannot be considered a scientific theory. Intelligent design has also been seen to be strongly related to creationism and religion. Intelligent design is mostly supported by people who dislike the theory of evolution due to the lack of God, it has nothing to examine or test, much like creationism, and its explanation has many similar points as creationism. With this much correlation to creationism and religion intelligent design goes against the separation of church and state and therefore should be kept out of the education
