Integrity, Work Ethic, And Being Self-Driven

Decent Essays
I have regularly demonstrated integrity, work ethic, and being self-driven. My integrity is demonstrated when I farm, and I do not have to have a written contract drawn up for me to rent the land. This is due to me having integrity and can fulfill verbal agreements. I also have the integrity to be appreciative and write scholarship thank you letters even after I have received the funds. I have demonstrated work ethic on a daily basis by maintaining a 4.0 unweighted GPA in high school. I am also self driven, since I consistently determined for myself how hard I needed to study to understand the tricky material. My self driven desire to learn had led me to take the advanced courses of AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, and Duel Credit

I have a very high work ethic and have very little time for play in my job. I do need to learn to put myself in others shoes; sometimes this is very hard for me to do.…

I have exhibited the four levels of National Honor Society by the extracurricular activities I am in and in my academics. I express scholarship as I have excellent grades and towards the end of my sophomore year I had received an academic letter. Through leadership I have helped others in schoolwork, cheerleading, and I have pushed others in cross country and track. With cross country I may not be much of a leader in practice, but I am a strong leader when it comes to supporting everyone in their races. Also many people come to me for help for they trust me and rely on my knowledge.…

It was at seven year old when my father left my mother and I to find work in the United States. He proceeded to work day and night for the next five years until he was able to bring our family together again. I had never heard of Mexicans being labeled as lazy, and it 's sometimes hard to believe what others might say about you simply because of your ethnicity. The video "i’m latino, but i’m not…" raised my awareness about several stereotypes about Mexicans. Throughout my experiences I have learned, stereotypes can come from the deepest, darkest most ignorant parts of people, so I simply ignore them.…
