On January 1, 1956, O'Donohue was born and raised in County Clare and died on January 4, 2008, and he was bestowed a Ph.D. in Philosophical Theology from the German University of Tubingen in 1990. He was a gifted speaker, natural storyteller, and influential teacher, who had been charming audiences at intimate seminars and major international conferences. According to O'Donohue, there are an immense inequality and disparities that exist in our world; however, the duty of prerogative is absolute integrity. Knowledge without character, pleasure without conscience, wealth without work, politics without principle, religion without sacrifice, science without humanity, and business without ethics are things that can destroy personality. But, beauty is an enriched concept that life unfolds, throughout O'Donohue work, he explained that beauty is a human calling. Therefore, integrity is a mission; honesty is an inherent beauty, not external glamour. Nevertheless, when you get knowledge with character, it gives you a conceptual and appreciative behavior like the limestone form example O'Donohue describes in his work. Integrity is a soul friend, so never allow yourself ever to do anything that would degrade your wholeness. Moreover, honesty is a reputation that we have to build it as O'Donohue

Carter discusses the misconception that many people have about the difference between honesty and integrity by presenting examples of how people that are completely honest lack a sense of moral behavior.
