This is an integrative review with the purpose of identifying the scientific knowledge produced about the Nursing Process in the hospitalization of adults in Brazil. We conducted a search of the journals that encompass the theme, published between 2010 and 2015, in the databases: Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, Nursing Database, and Scientific Electronic Library Online, using the keywords: “nursing processes”, “nursing diagnosis” and “hospitalization”. The collection of papers was performed in October 2015. 24 papers were selected and analyzed, and they indicate the skills and competencies required for the implementation of the Nursing Process, the difficulties found to implementing it, as well as their contribution
