While the SRS is the main focus of the political and formidable opposition it adds more disciplinary concepts to which changes the mathematical and social study discipline,while changing to an elaborated written communication in both mathematics and social studies changing how the schools communicate using the SRS method.Even with the political and formidable opposition to school reform the evidence of the reconstructuring of the schools shows in such schools as Cibola High School and Huron High School,in Cibola High School the teachers are responsible for the behaviors of the students and the policies regarding the students behaviors in both academic performance and discipline,while being responsible for the students the teachers set performance based graduation standards while deciding if a student has met them.While in Huron High School representative …show more content…
The structure of the high school changes because of changes Cibola High School having approximately 450 students (7-12) with the students organized in two-year block,with a clear focus on two goals: (1) teaching student to use their minds well and (2) preparing all students for college.Most of the differences between the Cibola High School and others is that Cibola is in a inner city of a large metropolitan area with students predominantly minority with 80% ( African American,Hispanic) and poor.(568) Along with the pros of integration of technology in school, systems there are also barriers to block the integration and along with barriers come strategies to overcome the barriers that block the schools, an addition to the strategies come pre-service teachers and non-empirical descriptions of the strategies and barriers.Some Barriers to the integration of technology are the lack of resources in the area such as funding,the lack of knowledge and skills with some teachers,and differing attitudes and beliefs to the integration of technology in school systems that come from the teachers and advisors in the school system.With the knowledge and skills some teachers lack the specific knowledge and skills to operate classes with technology integrated, all of the knowledge and skills depends on the institution with the leadership,schools timetabling and the school's planning since it all comes down to how the school is with funding and how it's used with the added effect of teachers
