It is important that everyone has access to health care services and health care education, more so for women and children. This paper will discuss how importance it is for women and children to have full access to health care as well being educated on health care decisions and a plan will be developed to do so. This paper will also discuss a major health problem that was identified in the community as well chapter 12 case study.
Health Care for Women and Children It is important that a plan is developed so as to ensure that women and children will always have health insurance and that they are educated as to the different choices they have. Insurance companies, doctors, and nurses need to tackle this disease head on at the primary prevention level. Their time, effort and money should be spent teaching and educate people about prevention of the disease. It is important that patients are getting the correct information when they go for a yearly physical and everyone needs to take the time out to teach them about healthy eating and exercise. Patients should be educated with information such as their risk factors, proper dieting, and body mass index. Moreover, teaching should be first taught at the parent level. Parents need to be taught how to eat healthily, and with that teaching, their children hopefully can adopt the same principle. Also, people who already diagnosed with the disease should be taught how to keep their blood sugar under control this could all be done through a community outreach program. Also, nurses could go their houses to teach them about healthy eating and exercise and genetics
