IMC’s achieve various organizational objectives, by producing a unified customer-focused message through coordinating and controlling multiple elements of the promotional mix, such as advertising, public relations, direct marketing and sales promotion (Mangold & Faulds, 2009). In terms of marketing nowadays, tools and strategies for communication with customers have changed significantly with the emergence of consumer-generated media. Where various sources of information that are created, circulated and used by consumers with the intent on educating each other about products, services and brands, also referred to as social media (Mangold & Faulds, 2009).
Social media is an integral part of Innovation Cluster. Considering it is within my responsibilities to update FastStart’s Facebook page, constant updates and relevant posts engages and increases the number of users that read our posts. Social media embraces various amounts online, blogs, company-sponsored chat rooms, discussion boards, consumer product/service ratings websites and of most notable, social networking websites (Mangold & Faulds, 2009).
