The first state in the U.S. to pass a law on abortion was Connecticut. The method they started barring was called “quickening” which is administering poison to a woman during the 4th month of pregnancy (History of Abortion in the United States 1). Women who have had an abortion seem more suicidal than others. Opponents of abortion believe that this causes long term psychological effects on women when they receive one. No women is forced to have an abortion. Everyone has the choice to or not. Before every abortion, the woman should be fully educated on what is happening during the process of it. There also is counseling offered after every abortion in some clinics before and after the abortion.
