One woman discovered she had a life changing choice to make on the date of September 17, 1989. Should she have an abortion to save her life? Susan was diagnosed with Preeclampsia on that day. She discovered she had no more than 2 weeks to live before she would have a seizure or stroke injuring or possibly killing herself and her baby. She thought of many possibilities but discovered even after 2 weeks, when the baby was actually deliverable, she would risk the chance of the baby having a major birth defect also. Women who have had an abortion seem more suicidal than others. Opponents of abortion believe that this causes long term psychological effects on women when they receive one. No women is forced to have an abortion. Everyone has the choice to or not. Before every abortion, the woman should be fully educated on what is happening during the process of it. There also is counseling offered after every abortion in some clinics before and after the abortion. The counseling is so that the mother could express how she feels instead of keeping it inside of her head and thinking bad thoughts about
