As a Senior Project Manager, I have successfully led and delivered several insurance projects. Based on my knowledge and experience in the insurance industry, I devised a futuristic idea which could potentially increase the top line of any insurance company. I consulted with experienced industry leaders and refined my idea. I formed a 2-member team to create a storyboard presentation of my vision and presented it to the committee.

I explained to the team on how important each individual’s contribution was to the success of the initiative. Every team member was excited and geared up to start the work. During the prototype development, I made substantial mid-course corrections to make much use of everyone’s talent and come up with a best-in-class solution.
Our prototype was a great success and we moved to the finals. We also earned the “Best Presentation” award. Appreciations started pouring in and all were happy with what we had achieved. This success made the team strongly believe in my ideas and leadership skills. It was a priceless moment for me, but at the same time, I knew I must build on this success and make it even bigger.
I continued to make more corrections to the solution based on the committee’s review comments. I laid down a new approach ( test driven development) for creating the model faster and better rather than following the conventional way. The entire team liked my new idea but weren’t sure if it would work. I made a bold decision and requested the team to start the work using the new approach. After one week of development, we saw significant progress which we wouldn’t have achieved through the conventional approach.
