Insurance Coordinator Case Analysis Essay

I don’t have any concerns about the insurance coordinator position vs. Yanet’s role at the sedation center. I been so caught up with the day to day activities that I did not factor in the changes of my role as the Sedation Administrator therefore, we should move forward as quickly as possible with hiring an individual for this position. I apologize for the confusion or any doubt in moving forward. Now that I have learned the sedation scheduling process my greater focus will be on the oversight of the center’s operations. I will be supervising staff, planning, organizing, marketing, controlling/monitoring, and optimize the use of resources. In addition, I will also provide support services to the Assistant Administrator when necessary. Yanet’s responsibilities as the assistant administrator include but not limited to answering phones, scheduling patients, receiving medical clearances, setting up the schedule for the next work day, greeting, check-in patients, alert the clinical team of patient’s arrival, and provide support services to the Sedation …show more content…
This position may acquire all related insurance tasks for the Hospital Coordinator. What I propose is to revisit Yanet’s role and decide if we want to keep her as the Hospital Coordinator minus the insurance related tasks. This may be a plausible solution to the Hospital Coordinator position. Now that we have taken away the other responsibilities, she may be able to juggle both since it’s synonymous to what she will be doing. Hospital is only one day and it will only require her to set up the appointment and collect the medical clearance which is already part of her job description and everything else will go to the insurance coordinator. I picked the Quick family Urgent Care because I used to live around the area and this is a clinic that my family and friends always attended, so you can say we are pretty familiar with this clinic and the people that work there.
