It can store insulin for up to three days, with a wire and the pin attached to the human body for twenty-four hours a day, the insulin pump does function close to a normal pancreas. In a healthy human body, insulin is almost produced all day for slight amount, but that amount increases if needed. The same happens with the insulin pump, the doctor will program the device to insert insulin automatically throughout the day and the patient will have to add insulin manually when needed. One of the prime results of this device, is having the ability to eat as a healthy person. A Diabetic person would have a strict meal plan that is provided from his/her doctor and it has to be followed or else blood sugar levels would not be steady. And the reason of that is when a person is taking either two or three doses of insulin each day the amount of those doses of insulin is specified by the doctor. These doses are really hard to change in daily basis, so the patient have to stick with a meal plan to fulfill those doses correctly. On the other hand, the insulin pump allows it’s user to calculate the amount of food that he/she plans to eat giving them the flexibility with their diets. With that, I could spend my time with my family and friends without worrying on when and what to eat and mostly people could never tell that I am a Diabetic person. Another advantage with this amazing device, is having the ability to practice my hobbies without worrying too much on my blood sugar levels. I usually ride horses for almost two hours every weekday and without the insulin pump, I would have to carry some snacks that contain high carbohydrates or sugar to keep my blood sugar level stable. And as a normal human being I sometimes forget to carry those type of snacks and when I do, I cannot ride horses as much as I do, which is
