Spikes: Alright, So first off we thank you for agreeing to participate in this study. This study will be mainly broken up into four different parts mainly we want to take about how the district office goes about providing instructional leadership, how they might reorient the organization, how they might go about establishing policy coherence, finally how they go about maintaining an equity focus. But before that we will ask you some general information. So, if you could just start us off with providing us with your name and your role within the district and again this information is for our purposes whenever we report things we will do it in the aggregate and also use pseudonyms if we have to ever have to directly have to quote.

But, primary role is that 80% of my time every week should be in the building with the principals or if not particularly with the principals, with an administrative team member because I believe in closely working with that team as they work support the principal and is all about supporting the principal in the work to do what the work of the high school principal is. So about four years ago that was my last year at Roosevelt they recognized I think Matt sorry Mike and Berry were the first two on board with Sussi because we call it the span of control . How in the world are you going to do for what I described for forty elementary you are not going to do it .
