As the famous Marilyn Monroe said, “give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.” Well, give a person Instagram and they can conquer the social world. According to Statista, as of February 2016, Instagram swooped in on being top three of leading social media apps within the United States. For those who do not know, Instagram is an app where a user can simply capture a picture, amplify and caption it to share with the rest of their peers and or to the cyber world of Instagram. Aside from posting pictures, Instagram grants a user to keep in touch with a family member, a friend or someone new by following each other’s accounts. The app also grants the user to socialize by comments on a picture to direct messages that are discrete. Being able to see another individual’s point of view and social interacting with friends, family and new individuals are just two of the many benefits that Instagram can offer a user.

In fact, those individuals might be against it as well. Individuals may claim that Instagram affects with an individual’s privacy. If that is the case and one is concerned about privacy on Instagram, then one can simply switch from being a public account to a private account. A public account grants any user the ability to view the account and the contents, whether that user is following the account or not. A private account grants only approved followers to view the account and its contents. But even with all of this said, if one is concerned with privacy issues, one should not post a picture of what is concerned in the first place. If an individual is concerned about bullying, there is an option available to all users to block the user that is being inappropriate and report them, viola, problem
