Insecurity Research Paper

I don?t really understand myself as a person. I tend not to focus on myself due to my insecurity which makes writing this essay a bit hard to write let alone understand what I need to write. Let me start off by saying that I never really did fit into a certain group of people until around the 8th grade. I never really interacted with people. I always thought that was the norm since no one really talked to me. My background, my ethnicity is pretty basic. Mexican-American with a hint of Indian, nothing really special. I myself like to think I am part of many cultures and not just one because of the wide variety of my hobbies and likes/dislikes. I really wanted to talk about this because I haven?t really found someone who is extremely religious except my grandmother. She?s the one that pushes religious acts into our family besides a few of my aunts and uncles. At one point, she tried to force me into a communion, course she didn?t know I?m an atheist, and I still haven?t told her nor has my mother and we don?t think we will anytime soon. Besides religion, traditions also run thick in our family. We find a lot of excuses to throw celebrations, er, well at least 85% of my aunts do. My family?s too busy for any of that, my parents are workaholics so it?s pretty hard to find time for these celebrations. Which is why we are rarely invited. As mentioned before, I?m not that great at social interaction. Making friends is pretty hard for me alone unless someone helps introduce me to people. I eventually create my own little circle of friends which is mostly composed of introverts and maybe one or two extroverts. We like to keep to ourselves most of the time, it all works out in the end. I always thought I could get through highschool without any friends but it does get lonely without
