“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7-8 ESV). Not only are insecurities and doubts a waste of precious time and energy, but a person can miss out on what God has in store for them. A person who trusts in God has no need to be anxious or fearful because God will supply a life-giving resource to the roots of his followers. In other words, these insecurities were given for the pure benefit of overcoming them and as a learning reference, so that these mistakes will not be made in the future.
Ultimately, insecurities can cause people to be more vulnerable and targeted to the society's raging insults, but it can also develop greater levels of trust and confidence that contribute to one’s self-worth. For example, Erich Fromm and the Prophet Jeremiah both point out that insecurities have a lasting effect on people, but it is one’s decision on how to control it. Insecurities must not drive one’s self to the peak of insanity, but to the path of a healthier, bolder and brighter
