In the article, “You Can Teach for Meaning,” from a professional perspective, I concur with the view of the author that, “teachers can best raise test scores over the long haul by teaching the key ideas and processes contained in standards in rich and engaging ways.” However, the implementation of using the data collected from those tests should not be the only form for evaluating and creating a plan specifically designed and geared towards test achievement but should be used to create curriculum that integrates real-life applicational concepts, content, and context, in order for skills and knowledge to be gained.…
