Inquiry Questions For Religion

Research Inquiry question:
Why do people do bad things I the name of religion?
I developed this question thinking that it is a very controversial subject, religion. Religion is argued frequently, rather be by nonbelievers or believers. But what made me focus more into this question in particular was just how often this happens by people all over the world. For example, some events that happen in which people blamed their bad actions towards religion were events such as the holocaust, slavery, murders, etc.
Some of the questions that I would first have to address are:
• What is religion?
• What makes a bad action bad?
This questions are very broad because these questions can have multiple answers depending on who is reading the essay. What I
