Percy was a boy who lived with his mother where all was calm and quiet. One day he gets attacked by mythological creatures in which his teacher that’s in a wheelchair magically transforms into a majestic centaur and gives Percy a magical pen that transforms into a sword named “ Riptide”. Percy is forced to fight against those creatures as he gets told he’s a half-blood, meaning he has the blood of a god and the blood of a human. He gets recruited into a camp for the summer called “ Camp Half Blood “ where people similar to him live and train to go on quests for the glory of Greek mythology. Percy, being famous for being the only known son of Poseidon at Camp Half Blood, makes friends amazingly fast. They teach him the basics of being a half-blood and the things he might face later on in his quests. In a series of events where our story unravels further into the book we learn that someone stole a weapon from the gods/Zeus lightning bolt of mass destruction.
