At approximately 3:50 pm last night, two men were found dead underneath a branch. The branch had fallen during the storm, which ended only minutes before the discovery. The men who found them, Alin Unger, Anton Vasile, Atanase Matei, Iulian Dalca, and Nicolae Albu, briefly inspected the scene, and then sent Vasile back to alert the authorities, which arrived circa 4:30 that evening. At the time of their arrival, seven more men were there. The police reported, “An abundance of bones, with a spare bit of meat here or there. There were two piles in different areas, both underneath a conglomeration of fairly large branches. The bones and leftover flesh had a plethora of bite marks.” Later, when an animal expert reached the crime scene, the marks were identified as wolves’. …show more content…
They were stuck there for a short while until a wolf pack found them.” Dalca reports that he works for Ulrich von Gradwitz, who had gone out into the woods searching for his sworn enemy and neighbor. The other seven men claim to work for this nemesis, Georg Znaeym, who had gone into the forest to poach on von Gradwitz’s land. Alin says that, “Ulrich had left our party to go search for Znaeym, hoping to shoot him. He told us to come find him in ten minutes if he didn’t return, but we didn’t know where he went.” Znaeym’s men report a similar story, saying that they were to come find Znaeym, but also had issues with location. Two guns, as well as a near empty wine-flask, were found at the scene, which supports their story. The police detective shed some light on the situation, “Well, everybody knows of the Znaeym and von Gradwitz feud over this piece of forest. Ulrich and Georg were no exception to this loathing. So, Georg and Ulrich came into the forest while hunting, each planning to kill the

    Just Mercy Summary

In his book Just Mercy, author Brian Stevenson details many of the failures of justice that he has personally witnessed in his long career as a public interest attorney. Mr. Stephenson relays each case as a personal story. As a reader, I found myself sympathizing with many of the people Brian Stevenson worked to defend. I found myself shocked by how poor and underprivileged people were so often treated horribly coldheartedly by our justice system. Before I had believed our justice system to at least be fair and impartial.…

    Rogue Justice Book Review

In writing Rogue Justice, The Making of the Security State, author Karen J. Greenberg has created an insightful, and telling account of how dangerously close America came to losing many of the freedoms afforded to us in the Bill of Rights following the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001. Anthony Romero, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), is certainly accurate about Rouge Justice when he explained that the book is “a must read for anyone who cares about the constitution”. Rogue Justice is an amazing tale of the legal workings that took place following the aftermath of 9/11 and how attorneys from both sides of the fight of security versus constitutional rights engaged the US court system, often outside public limelight and in secret, to pursue their side’s cause. Rogue Justice puts the conflict between national security and civil liberties in a post 9/11 world front and center, and gives a devastating account of the Bush Administration’s dilution of citizen’s rights and liberties in favor of national security, all the while strengthening the office of the president to usurp the constitution in order to detain U.S. Citizens indefinitely, torture people in the name of national security, and…

In chapter 7 the author discusses excluding beauty by giving his personal experience as a teacher.
