Purpose: To examine both the use of psychological tools during injury rehabilitation and then to assess the effects of intervention on athletes undergoing therapy as well as their self-efficacy and self-perceptions.
Method:
Participants: 77 participants who have a sports related injury for longer than 5 weeks. These participants were found through a clinic and were chosen due to how bad their injury was and their desire to partake in the study. There were three groups for the study: a control group, goal-setting intervention group and a social support group.
