Identity confusion
By the time I got to adolescence, I was an excellent student, disciplined, and with just a few friends that I kept from previous years. But, I was craving for independence so I decided to apply for a scholarship. My parents agreed with me at the beginning because they did not want to forbid me something that would be an opportunity for my academic development. After all, this school had a better and demanding program. Nevertheless, when I was accepted it was difficult for them to let me go. After all, I’d be at home only on weekends and I was only twelve years old.
As always, because I had change school in the middle of the year and I was alone for the first time, it took me a while to adapt myself to the new system.
