He was a minister who would go and visit elderly and sick people who could not come to church he used to say “A man has no greater purpose than serving his fellow man” by virtue of having such mentality one can say he was basically good since you cannot separate goodness from generosity and I will add selfless love as I have mention earlier on. I cannot afford not to mention Old Musini in the story; the setting sun and rolling world as a good man. He was not just basically good because the sun shined in the morning, but even though things that he does not will he remain good. He son Nhamo was going out there in the world and he was afraid for his son. He demonstrated goodness of heat when he did not allow his anger to rise, he had every reason to be angry but just to protect his opposing son from here curse he did not allow himself from being angry. What is interesting is that how respond depends on how you were raised, the information you received, circumstances and the environment around you, this includes your community belief system and culture. This is what #3 means when he said man is tabula rasa.
There is a say that goes like “a man is like a white wall among painters”. If he expose himself to bad painter he becomes bad and if he expose himself to good painter he becomes good.
I remember when I was still young I used to say “I wish you were not my mother”. I always feel like this after receiving slashes on my back because of my misconduct. What always surprised me was her respond she would smile and say “tough love! Tough love” and even quote “Proverbs 23:13 Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish them with the rod, they will not die”. I could not understand why the very same person who was so kind to me who even woke up early in the morning and prepare my lunch and gave me pocket money now she has become a monster. The point is in the morning she was good to me in the even bad to me yet the very same person, the conclusion was she was just an opportunist person, when the opportunity for her to be bad comes through my misconduct she would gladly accept it with two hands and even when the opportunity
