1. Media Relations: Support execution of communications plans for Ingalls and HII, ensuring that objectives are aligned and communications are comprehensive and responsive to the needs of the media and those of the corporation and Ingalls. Proactively seek opportunities to engage media, and provide communications support to all Ingalls programs to highlight specific milestones and employee teamwork, commitment and ownership through news releases, media interviews.

I feel I have accomplished this goal by assisting the Ingalls Special Events team with helping in the execution of: Apprenticeship Graduation, Master Shipbuilder Dinner, Christening of USS Portland, Ingalls 5k on the Causeway, Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus visit.

3. Community Relations: Develop opportunities to maximize external exposure in community relations events to ensure the HII and Ingalls Shipbuilding community partnership interests are met and highlighted. Develop media plans for site events involving Ingalls employees to maximize employee recognition and their contributions to the community.
a. Assisted in facilitating interviews for the Ingalls Day of Caring Video and provided press assistance to the Boys and Girls Club of Jackson County. Also, assisted in filming Ingalls Holiday commercial.

4. Executive Support: Provide support to Corporate Manager of Media Relations for executive interviews. Provide additional support to Ingalls communications teams so organizations are aligned and positioned, both organizationally and professionally, to meet or exceed needs of internal and external customers.
a. I feel I have accomplished this goal by helping with executive media training provided by the McGinn group, worked to develop social media messages on behalf of Mike Duthu for the LPD
