Throughout the times, I experienced discomfort when thinking about my old home; I would simply grab this magazine and look through it . I even labeled the pages in where I found pictures of specific places of my community.
TRANSITION STATEMENT : Although at the beginning of the move I was upset , with time I was able to accept the change. I realized that living in Chula Vista, California opened new doors of opportunities for me. A door that opened and impacted my life was my introduction to the sport of golf.
B. ( Main Point #2) Golf allowed me to grow as a person and become independent . With this sport I was able to discover the life skill of perseverance and the meaning behind “never giving up.”
1. ( Sub-Point #1) The sport of golf requires focus and patience. I remember my first golf match as a freshmen I was terrified. I had consecutive bad shots and the frustration was taking control over my game. However, my determination kicked in; I had my mind set that the next couple of holes would be a fresh start.
