I. Attention Getter- Have you ever felt alone, sad and depressed. You feel like the only way to get help is to see someone certified. Having issues do not necessarily means you need medical help but it means they are not the only people to talk to.
II. Credibility Statement- I am able to speak upon this topic because I am one of those individual that stresses and feel alone because I am an over working mother, a mother that attend school and support her child. I tend to keep all my emotions bottle up till I explode and cry my eyes out for days.
III. Thesis Statement- Everyone needs counseling, because every individual has problems they need to work on. It can be a teacher, advisor, or your support team.

There are five stages of grief and they are:
• Denial “This can’t be happening to me.
• Anger “Why is this happening? Who is to blame?”
• Bargaining “Make this not happen, and in return I will ____.”
• Depression “I’m too sad to do anything.”
• Acceptance “I’m at peace with what happened.”
Not all people follow or go through these stages. Everyone feel or act differently. If you are facing any of these emotions following a loss, it may help to know that your reaction is normal and that you’ll heal in time
B. To help people cope with a loss, there are many supportive ways available.
1. Turning to your friends or family member. Even if you take pride in being strong. You always need a shoulder to lean on with some that cares about you.
2. Join a support group. A support group can help you share your sorrow with others that may be feeling the same way as you do. Being able to talk about difficulties with in a group and receive feedbacks that may grasp your attention or not. Many people can relate to your issues, you are not alone.
3. Also you are able to talk to a therapist or grief counselor. An experience therapist can help you overcome obstacles you are grieving from.
