When creating my informative speech, I had to determine when I was presenting this information too which in the case is will be my professor. Then I decide what presentation to use, which in this case this is an informative speech. Before I started, I needed to create a delivery outline for my speech. I also had to think about the duration on how much time I have to present my outline speech to the audience, which in this case would be 3-5 minutes long.…

In the beginning, I looked at the different ways of preparing for a paper and one stuck out to me. I would write an outline of what I wanted to write about and then I would make sub-headings under each bulletin describing what each topic would talk about. I used this process more with my research papers than with the narrative essays because I could see what facts I needed to look up and which ones I already knew. For the non-research essays, I wrote the first sentence to every paragraph first. After that I would write an outline of what I wanted to talk about in each paragraph.…

It’s the way that the word gets out; billions upon billions of ideas for business, classroom activities, etc. are spread through presentations. With presentations come some jitters, but Andrew Bradbury states a plan in his book “Successful Presentation Skills (2010)” that winds up to be the first key element to a successful presentation. Having a game plan before stepping on stage in front of an audience sounds like common knowledge, but it’s more than just a game plan. Bradbury (2010) lists a Seven Basic Step to take on any idea. First, the presenter must think about what they want to achieve by presenting, then reflect on if a formal presentation is the best way to get the word out, leading to what form the presentation will take, then the…

Many fail to realize that communication is verbal and nonverbal. It does not take an act of Congress for the presenter to realize that he or she no longer has the attention of the audience. According to organizational psychologist Judith Tingley, “Prevention is easier than cure. Once your audience begins losing interest, it is almost impossible for even accomplished speakers to recapture it.” (Tingley, 2000).…

Within the business environment, it is a certain fact that at one point in time, every individual will have to present an idea to either management, customers or potential customers. So, the question is, what makes for an effective presentation and does different settings and audiences require a variance in the presentation design? Within this paper, a presentation done by David JP Phillips, from the Swedish firm, Presentationsteknik.com, will be assessed and discussed, as well as the…
